Faith Inhibitors

Sunday, April 26, 2009

This morning The Message is taken from Haggai 1:5-7...You have planted much, but harvest little.... God spoke through the Prophet Haggai; "consider Your Ways"! In Ezekiel 14:1-4 God is again speaking to His voice in the earth, the Prophet informing him that, ...The elders had set up their idols in their hearts, then came seeking a Word from God. For more insight into this message join us on You Tube soon to hear it in its entirety. In the meantime think about where your faith quotient lies. The following scriptures are examples of little faith, and great faith.

To inhibit means to restrain, hold back, to prevent full expression; in other words the potential for oak trees has been relegated to bonsai coffee table conversation pieces.

Little Faith

Luke 12:28 "If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire; how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!" See also Matt. 6:30

Matt. 8:26 He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Matt. 14:31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "Why did you doubt"?

Matt. 16:8 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread...."

This represents faith that has been stunted, deprived of its full potential; have you noticed how Jesus constantly upbraided them for not developing their measure of faith God gave them!!!

Great Faith

Luke 7:9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said,"I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel".

Matt. 8:2 The Leper: A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, "Lord if you are willing, you can make me clean".(3) Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean"- immediately he was cured of his leprosy!!!!

Matt. 8:10 The Centurion:When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith..."

Matt. 9:18 The Ruler:While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live". While we are in the neighborhood, stop in and visit the woman with the issue of blood, who came up behind Jesus and touched the hem of his garment because she had said to herself, "If I may but touch the hem of his garment I shall be healed".

Matt. 9:28 The Blind Men: When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this"?

Matt. 14:36 The Diseased: ...People brought all their sick to him and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.

Matt. 15:28 The Canaanite Woman: Then Jesus answered, "Woman you have great faith! Your request is granted".

Mark 5:28 The Afflicted woman with the issue of blood! Notice how each individual approached Jesus; He applauded them for their faith. Apparently great faith honors God and Jesus gets to relieve the suffering of humanity and that brings glory to God.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the faith inhibitors in your life; so Jesus will be excited about your faith quotient and deliver the promise you are seeking. He is no longer in a physical body on the planet, but he left His Name which is the embodiment of all He is- by faith in His Name we can carry out all He commissioned us to do when we find the faith inhibitors and rout them out.
